As an added convenience for students, faculty and staff, UI has partnered with the University of Iowa Community Credit Union (UICCU) to add ATM and PIN-based debit functionality to your Iowa One® Card.  You have the option of making your Iowa One® Card an ATM card by opening an Iowa One® Checking Account with the U of I Community Credit Union (UICCU).  Your Iowa One® Card can then be linked to your UICCU account for the convenience of using it in ATMs and retail locations accepting PIN-based debit transactions.*

If you choose to open a new Iowa One® Checking Account with the UICCU, you can use your card for unlimited FREE access to all campus ATMs.  You can also use the card off campus at retail locations that accept PIN-based debit transactions.

Adding the power of ATM/PIN-based debit feature to your Iowa One® Card :

  1. Stop by the Iowa One® Card Center, located in 3 Jessup Hall, and get your Iowa One® card (if you haven't already).
  2. Visit a UICCU branch and open an Iowa One® Checking Account.
  3. Select your PIN and your Iowa One® Card can now be used as an ATM card.

*Through the University’s partnership with the U of I Community Credit Union (UICCU) to offer optional student and faculty/staff checking accounts linked to the Iowa One® Card, the University receives financial support in the form of annual student scholarships, program marketing support, royalties for the number of active accounts, reimbursement for card supplies, branch rent and other compensation. Students, faculty and staff are not required to open an account with UICCU and they do not need to have a UICCU account in order to use their Iowa One® Card for other card-authorized campus services, such as meal plans, Hawkeye Dollars, laundry, door access, library services, and fee-based services like recreation centers. The University partnership with UICCU was formed after a competitive selection process. Questions about the University’s partnership with UICCU may be directed to the Iowa One® Card Center at 319-335-2716 or by email to iowaone@uiowa.edu.
