The Division of Drug Information Service (DDIS) was established in 1965 within the College of Pharmacy, The University of Iowa. The Division's primary functions are publishing, instruction and provision of drug information services.

Meeting the information needs of today's health care professionals

Two main components of the service are the Iowa Drug Information Service (IDIS) and the Iowa Drug Information Network (IDIN).

The IDIS drug information database is a bibliographic indexing service of 200 premier English language medical and pharmaceutical journals. IDIN is an educational and service program designed to provide drug information and evaluative services and support the drug information role of pharmacists providing pharmaceutical care.
