All IIEP students are given the opportunity to take an institutional (paper-based) TOEFL at the end of the semester. (The cost of the test is included in the IIEP tuition.) Some students use this score to assess their progress; some use it to begin their degree program at The University of Iowa. The results of the Iowa institutional TOEFL are only good at The University of Iowa.
Students who want to apply to other universities should take the internet-based TOEFL (iBT) available through University Evaluation and Examination Services. iBT scores are good at all accredited U.S. universities, including The University of Iowa.
