The Iowa Law Review is recognized as an excellent source of legal scholarship. The Iowa Law Review has been cited over 29,000 times on HeinOnline, ranking it among the twenty most-often-cited journals. A study by Washington & Lee University also ranks the Iowa Law Review among the top twenty-two law journals based on recent citations in journals and cases. The Law Review is committed to maintaining our historical reputation and continuing our recent success by selecting quality legal scholarship. We invite you to join in our success by submitting your article for publication.
The Iowa Law Review does not have a maximum word count or page limit, although the length of the manuscript may be a factor we consider in the selection process. We are happy to review full-length articles as well as slightly shorter essays. The Law Review does not typically publish book reviews or review submissions by students other than Law Review student writers.
