Panther Hands-on demo

Info regarding our first meeting for the Fall Semester, 2003.
Hi everyone -
The Iowa Macintosh Users Group will have our first meeting on
Wednesday, October 15th at 8:00 PM in the Minnesota Room (347) at the
IMU. At the meeting we'll have Steven Larson, Apple Systems Engineer, to
give you a preview of Apple's latest major OS X upgrade, Panther, which
just went golden master this weekend and will be made available by the
end of the month. We'll also have a new G5 tower on hand to demonstrate
what the machines can do for you here at the university and to let you
get a hands-on experience with them, and get feedback from you on the
meeting and decide how the IMUG can be most beneficial to everyone.
Come early for free pizza and pop for everyone!
We hope to hold more frequent meetings this year. Also, we'll have a
website with news about the group, message board and other resources
set up very soon at http://www.uiowa.edu/~imug/
I hope to have meetings center on Final Cut Pro and other
iApps yet this year. If you have any ideas for what would be most
helpful to you, or know anyone who'd like to be added to this email
list, please get in touch.
