7. Scientific Area Course Requirements: In order to ensure that Integrative Physiology students obtain
a general knowledge of the key scientific areas that constitute the basis
of the major, each student will be expected to complete at least one course
in each of the four areas of specialization (anatomy,
biomechanics, exercise & integrative physiology and motor control). The student and the mentor
decide which course(s) is/are appropriate in each area. This requirement
may be met by transfer credit, or, from courses taken as a degree candidate
at either the undergraduate or graduate level from The University of Iowa or another institution
if accepted by the student’s mentor.
