9/22 (Thursday): A bilingual poetry reading (Bengali/English) and Q&A, Carolyne Wright, 8-9PM, SHSE

9/26 (Monday): Gregory Rabassa, Ida Beam Speaker. Reading/ Q&A, 7-8PM, Prairie Lights

9/28 (Wednesday):   Iowa City Public Library panel "The work of translation in the ear/era of global English," with Wendy Wright (Australia), Zoltan Pék (Hungary), Marjan Strojan (Slovenia), Nadia Abduljabbar (Saudi Arabia): 3:30-5PM, ICPL Meeting Room A.

OCTOBER:

10/13 (Thursday): K.V.Tirumalesh "Translating With the Ear of the Other: the Case of Samskara."   8-9 PM, SHSE

10/20 (Thursday): Rosamund Bartlett on translating Chekhov, 8-9PM, SHSE

10/28 (Friday): Robert Kehaw, translating from the Provençal: poetry reading and Q&A 5- 6PM, SHSE

11/3 (Thursday): Students in the MFA Translation Program's Fall workshop read from their current work. 8-9PM, SHSE. Refreshments to follow.
