Session 1: June 16-29, 2013; Session 2: July 7-20, 2013
The application deadine for the 2013 sessions has passed. We do not accept late applications. Decision letters were sent out by e-mail (accepted students & alternates) and regular mail (all other students) on April 1, 2013. We regret that all decisions could not be sent by e-mail this year and apologize to those of you who are waiting for letters. If you would like your decision letter e-mailed to you please e-mail us at iyws@uiowa.edu with "Decision Request" in the subject line and we will reply as quickly as we are able.
Every summer, 132 young writers from across the country come together to share their work, practice craft, and improve their writing in Iowa City, Iowa, home of the University of Iowa. Find out just how much you can improve your writing with two weeks of intensive focus. Students may apply to one or both sessions but only attend one session if accepted. Come to the Iowa Young Writers' Studio in summer 2013!
