News Writers I
Students enrolled in this course might not have much experience with their school's newspaper and/or yearbook, but are seriously considering participation.
Students enrolled in News Writers I are introduces to the basics of news writing and reporting, which includes but is not limited to:
- Elements of news
- Ethics
- AP Style and stylebook
- Interviewing
- (Hard) news writing
- (Soft) news writing — feature stories, sports stories
- Opinon writing — editorials and columns
- Other grammar skills activities
