Responsibilities include providing reference, research and instructional services within and outside the department, primary responsibility for collection development and maintenance of federal government publications and oversight of federal Regional depository responsibilities, coordinating provision of information and reference services within the department, assisting in promoting the use of and access to the collection, and participation in the planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of user education programs and outreach activities across the entire range of departmental resources.
