We live in an age defined by
the intersection of information, technology and human creativity, an
intersection which offers a rich and vibrant milieu of opportunities.
Set in this context, library and information science is dedicated to
understanding the nature of information, the interaction between information
and communication technologies, the relationship between information
and knowledge, and the interface between people and information. It
is a fundamental and academic discipline and an invaluable source of
new knowledge, technological benefits, and professional expertise, affecting
essentially every dimension of human affairs: education, science, health,
agriculture, global ecosystems, industry, and socio-political activities.
The
School of Library and Information Science prepares individuals to meet
these diverse challenges and opportunities. We welcome you to our Web
site. If you are interested in further information, please contact
