Language to be studied: Venda

The Venda language is in the Niger-Congo family (Croft 1990) and in the subfamily of languages known as Bantu languages (Poulos 1990). The Bantu language subfamily is a large group of over 400 languages which are spoken in the southern half of the African continent.
