Pitch tracks illustrate the fundamental frequency of vocal cord vibration (how many times per second the vocal cords are vibrating, measured in Hertz (Hz)) and any changes in that frequency of vibration. We perceive changes in fundamental frequency as changes in pitch; the higher the frequency of vibration, the higher the perceived pitch.
