The
location of the workshop is the fourth floor conference room W401, of the John
Pappajohn Business Administration
Building, located on the
University of Iowa campus in Iowa City (corner of Clinton and Jefferson Streets;
please see campus map). The campus is located next to downtown Iowa City. (More

There are two hotels within walking distance of the workshop site. One is the Iowa House Hotel, located in the Iowa Memorial Union of the University of Iowa, two blocks from the Pappajohn Building. There is a small number of rooms blocked off at the Iowa House for workshop participants, if you make your reservations before May 13th (when doing so, request a room from the block for the "Workshop on Aspect").Prices are $74 single, $84 double ($79 single, $89 double if a room with a river view). The second hotel within walking distance is the Sheraton Hotel in downtown Iowa City, 4 blocks from the workshop site. Rooms at the Sheraton start at $109.
There is a wide variety of less expensive lodging in Coralville, Iowa City's "suburb". However, transportation is limited, unless you rent a car. We can suggest the Heartland Inn, which is located fairly close to the campus ($62.99 double with two queen-sized beds; $64.00 one king-sized bed). On Friday the Heartland Inn runs a shuttle van to the University of Iowa Hospitals every half-hour, starting at 5:50 a.m.. On Saturday and Sunday they run a shuttle van every hour, between 9:00 and 5:00. From the University of Iowa Hospitals you can walk across the river to the workshop site (we will provide maps). Taxi service is also available (Old Capitol Cab, 354-7662); taxis charge by distance. The fare from the Heartland Inn to the Pappajohn Building would be $4.50 for the first person and $1.00 for each additional passenger.
