Hi everybody, and welcome to the University of Iowa Malaysian Student Society Website. It has been very long since the website was updated so we're doing our best to change the information. Thanks for visiting our website. It is our sincere hope that you’ll find the information provided here helpful.

MSSUI strives to establish rapport among all Malaysian students studying at The University of Iowa. Thus, we always try to organize different activities to forge closer ties among the members. Some of these exciting and fun-filled activities include the ‘welcome?potluck, graduation parties, bowling night, ski trip, Kongsi Raya celebration, Cultural Diversity Day and RiverFest. We also have occasional get together dinners that are just fun. In addition, we plan fund-raisers to help boost our MSSUI fund. Furthermore, we always strive to promote our rich Malaysian culture to the university and Iowan community by taking part in various cultural events, such as fashion shows and information sessions.

Last but not least, we provide assistance to new students coming to the University of Iowa as much as we can. We help arrange for transportation to fetch them from the Cedar Rapids Airport, provide housing information and show them around Iowa City so that at least they will be more familiar with the UI campus, local services and amenities available. We really hope that new students coming here will be able to get as much support from the ‘old?students as possible so that they won’t be at a loss being in a whole new place.
