Cello Auditions

If you cannot audition during the School of Music's annual audition day, please contact Anthony Arnone or Hannah Holman to make alternate arrangements. Taped auditions are acceptable but a live audition preferred.

Undergraduate Students

3 contrasing works such as:

• Study or etude such as Popper etudes
• One movement of a concerto or sonata
• One or two movements of a Bach suite

Graduate Students

4 contrasting works such as:

• Advanced etude or study such as Popper or Piatti
• Orchestral excerpts
• Two contrasting works of a standard concerto
• Sonata or solo cello work, preferably 20th century
• 3 contrasting movements of a Bach suite
