Bachelor of Music. Undergraduate music majors may apply to the College of Education Teacher Education program during their sophomore year. Students need to have earned 33 hours of college credit to be eligible for admission.

Bachelor of Music graduates with certification are certified to teach K-12 music (all areas of music).

Master of Arts in Music Education. Graduate students who wish to acquire teaching certification with their MA degree should consult the MA Master of Arts plus certification program.

Elementary Education majors may obtain a specialization in music so that they are certified to teach K-6 general music. Consult this checksheet.
