21. Woven Bags Woven bags were produced by various finger-weaving techniques using various plant fibers (basswood, Indian Hemp (dogbane family), stinging nettle) and sometimes incorporating animal hair and beads. Early wool trade blankets were sometimes unraveled and the fibers respun to make woven bags.
