Museum Exhibit Wins AwardThe Museum's interactive computer station CD-ROM "Why Birds Sing" took 1st place at the National Association for Interpretation Media Awards 2002 at Virginia Beach. Developed by Silver Oaks Communications of Moline in collaboration with UIMNH staff and the Bird Hall Advisory Committee, the program is designed to teach visitors of all ages about various aspects of bird communication. The computer station, a favorite stop for visitors to the Hageboeck Hall of Birds, includes bird sounds, informative text, video clips, and games to test visitors' knowledge.
