UI Museum of Natural History Sponsors an Art Program for Children

IOWA CITY, Iowa
The University of Iowa Museum of Natural History
will sponsor a five week art program for children beginning Saturday, October 27th.

The Nature of Art will run every Saturday from 1-2:30 pm in the Museum.

The class will be taught by third year painting student, Shara Rowley,
the recipient of the University of Iowa's Fine Arts Council Scholarship and
a Museum Assistant.

The class will offer painting, drawing and craft projects
with natural history themes. This class hopes to give the students a
greater appreciation of how nature and art interact.

The class has already started, but it is still open for late-comers!

The program is open to children 7-12, and will require
a fee of $ 15 per child.

Materials will be supplied by the museum.
