NCTE-SA is excited to announce their TEACHER PANEL during the first
week of September, 2007! Scroll down to find out more...
The NCTE
Student Affiliate at the University of Iowa creates an opportunity
for students, undergraduate and graduate, who are interested in the
teaching of literacy to come together to discuss ideas, concerns,
classes, job opportunities, and many other aspects regarding the
teaching of English, Language Arts and Literacy.
There are four main purposes
of the NCTE Student Affiliate:
- To
create a sense of community on campus among future teachers
of literacy
- To
develop professional attitudes and standards through
meetings, discussions, lectures, and web page resources
- To
provide support for investigation and research
- To
foster strong relationships between students and the
professional education community
