NCTE-SA Meeting Minutes for
October 12, 2006
1.
Our first order of business was book talks:
·
Lindsay fascinated us with her book talk on the book
I am Charlotte Simmons by Tom Wolfe.

Future book talks:

Our second order of business was to discuss public
relations:
·
We finished and looked over the flyers for Cognitive
Overload and NCTE-SA and will get them printed off at the next
meeting.
·
Also at the next meeting, we are going to redo the
bulletin boards in the Lindquist Center and will use the most
visible one to promote Cognitive Overload.
·
We started a group on Facebook to get the word out
about Cognitive Overload. Make sure you invite all of your friends
to join!
·
Finally, we discussed using out one email for the
semester to promote Cognitive Overload.
3.
Other:
·
Members wrote and signed a Thank You note for our
couch, office supplies, and funding for our Nashville trip.
·
If you need to miss your office hours, please send out
an email to all members to inform them. Also, if you are able,
please put a sign on the door during the hours that you are missing.
·
Remember to turn in your biographies for the website
to Anah (anah-malamut@uiowa.edu) if you have not already done so.
The next NCTE-SA meeting will be Tuesday,
October 17 @ 6:30pm in N222 Lindquist Center. See you then!
