The NRCFCP has provided
technical assistance for family-focused program development and
child welfare systems reform for over a decade. Technical assistance
is a critical component of the Center's overall mission to disseminate
current information on family-centered services policy and program
development, train professionals and paraprofessionals in a variety
of techniques for successful family-centered practice, and conduct
state-of-the-art program evaluation. TA activities collaboratively
build upon and support strategic efforts with national and regional
family care service systems seeking to promote family-centered capacity
building.
Staff and consultants
for the NRCFCP draw upon a broad knowledge base encompassing critical
developments in family and child welfare policy, systems reform
issues, diverse program models, contemporary practice methods, and
comprehensive evaluation designs. Technical assistance consultations
are designed to facilitate the establishment and maintenance of
family-centered, culturally responsive, and community empowering
programs and related initiatives.
