The National Resource Center for Family Centered Practice at the University of Iowa is pleased to announce a new certification training program for supervisors of family support programs.  The course, Strengthening Family Support through Supervision, is an eight-day training for family support supervisors from diverse professional backgrounds and at all career stages.   The curriculum supports the Iowa Family Support Standards and is applicable to a variety of family support models, including Healthy Families America, Early Head Start, Head Start, Parents as Teachers, FaDSS and local program models.

Attendance at all eight days of the training is mandatory in order to receive certification.  In addition, participants complete three homework assignments and pass a written certification exam.  Successful completion of requirements will result in certification by the National Resource Center for Family Centered Practice at the University of Iowa.
