Certification Training
The National Resource
Center for Family Centered Practice at the University of Iowa is
pleased to announce a new certification training program for supervisors
of family support programs. The course, Strengthening
Family Support through Supervision, is an eight-day training
for family support supervisors from diverse professional backgrounds
and at all career stages. The curriculum supports the
Iowa Family Support Standards and is applicable to a variety of
family support models, including Healthy Families America, Early
Head Start, Head Start, Parents as Teachers, FaDSS and local program
models.
Attendance at all eight
days of the training is mandatory in order to receive certification.
In addition, participants complete three homework assignments and
pass a written certification exam. Successful completion of
requirements will result in certification by the National Resource
Center for Family Centered Practice at the University of Iowa.
