Barwacz, Christopher A
Dr. Barwacz received his BS in 2003 and his DDS in 2007 from the
University of Iowa. He completed his Advanced Education in General
Dentistry residency at the Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas, TX in
2008.
It was his experience as an undergraduate dental student and research
assistant in pharmacology that kindled his
interest in research. Dr. Barwacz has been active in research
throughout his formal education and was the recipient of
the National Institute of Dental and
Craniofacial Training Grant Award in 2004 and
the Student Research Achievement Award in 2007.
Dr. Barwacz joined the staff at the Dental Clinical Research Center in
2008 where
he provides the latest in dental care to research participants as well as private patients.

Ms. Asmussen joined The University of Iowa in 1982.
Cindy clinically administers research studies as instructed in each
protocol, reviews and approves each subject's comprehension of an
informed consent, monitors study materials and compiles data for the
summation report that is given to the sponsor.

Ms. Stark joined The University of Iowa as a dental
assistant in 1971. The past decade Donna has been with the Office of
Clinical Research. Donna coordinates research projects conducted
within DCRC and off-site locations (schools, geriatric living facilities),
as well as chair-side assisting, scheduling appointments, and general
reception for research subjects and private patients.

Sharon Hansen,

Ms. Hansen joined The University of Iowa in
1974, working in the Radiology Dept. and later the Orthodontic Dept.
She worked in an orthodontic private practice for 11 years and returned to
the U of I in the Office of Clinical Research in 1989. Sharon is the
clinic clerk for subjects enrolled in research studies. She also
performs chair-side assisting, recruits for study subjects and other
assistance required for conducting internal and off-site research studies.
