Patient: Infant, either sex.

Case record:

Chief Complaint: Parents are concerned about soft tissue enlargements. The lesions were present at birth, have fluctuated in size but have never totally disappeared. The parents think the lesions are nontender and that sucking on the lesions makes them larger.   Medical History: No abnormalities are identified.   Dental History: The patient has two erupted teeth. The parents brush their child's teeth once a day.   Clinical Findings: The lesions consist of a pedunculated, bilobed soft tissue enlargement of the right mandibular mucolabial fold and a smaller, unilobed enlargement of the left mandibular mucolabial fold. The lesions are compressible, nontender and have a smooth surface.
