Cynthia L. Peterson is a Project Archaeologist for the General Contracts Program. She has been employed at the OSA since July 1992. Her work includes many Phase I and Phase II projects, consisting of fieldwork supervision and report writing. (Finney et al. 1993; Peterson 1992, 1993, 1994). She has authored more than 60 publications, technical reports, and professional papers on Midwestern archaeology. Her research interests include historic Native Americans in Iowa, fur trade, early Euro-American settlements, and industrial archaeology.
