Maria F. Schroeder is a research assistant for the HAP Architectural History Division. She assists in architectural surveys, does background research for architectural projects, prepares project plan reviews, and aids in creating electronic maps and generating othe G.I.S. information. She has done Phase I-Phase III historic as well as prehistoric archaeolgical work throughout Iowa, Northern Michigan, and Central Arizona. Special interests include early Euro-American and Native American contact period in Iowa, early historic sites in the Midwest, and public archaeology.
