In this example, we'll use the tool to measure the distance from Nora Springs to Charles City to Marble Rock, in Floyd County, Iowa.

Step 1: Click a point at Nora Springs, and drag the cross hair icon toward Charles City. As the crosshair icon moves, the distance is shown in the box at the top of the map window.
