OSA ArcView Shapefile Tutorial

The Office of the State Archaeologist maintains the Iowa Site File and GIS@OSA, two interlocked resources providing organized information on Iowa's reported archaeological sites. We're working hard to make information flow easier and faster. Individuals and organizations having access to ArcView (GIS software) can significantly contribute to this success by submitting archaeological site geospatial information as ArcView shapefiles.

The following tutorial demonstrates one way to go about this and assumes a basic working knowledge of ArcView.
