Prehistoric Archaeology Near Solon
13JH981

Project Archaeologist Mike Perry is conducting test excavations at two sites near Solon, Iowa, this September.

One site, 13JH981, is a prehistoric occupation of undetermined age lying in a tree-covered area. So far, the testing indicates the site area has never been plowed but has failed to yield diagnostic specimens or features.
