NDIL academic planning services provide a holistic approach to addressing issues that may influence academic achievement, progress, and degree completion for eligible students.

Common NDIL Counseling Functions:

Challenges of academic, social, and personal issues are generally handled through:

Information sharing about University policies, procedures, or practices (course load management, drop/add, second grade option).

Assessment of study skills to improve academic and performance outcomes.

Problem-solving strategies to handle academic, personal, and social situations.

Monitoring progress of student participants to determine effectiveness of services.

Program planning and development of workshops which address college transition issues.

Referrals to campus resources for concerns outside the scope NDIL services.

If you are interested in talking with an NDIL counselor or using tutorial services, you will need to complete a Request for Services / Eligibility for Services form. Click here to see or print this form in PDF Acrobat format, then hand it in at the NDIL office at 310 Calvin Hall; or you can pick up a copy of the form at the office.
