Roger Child

Roger Child served as coordinator of New Dimensions In Learning when the grant was first received in 1977. He became the director in 1981. Roger received a B.S.Ed. from Drake University in 1963 and earned his M.S. from The University of Iowa in 1966. Des Moines is Roger’s hometown, but he and his wife have lived in Coralville, Iowa since 1991. Prior to that they lived in Iowa City for 19 years. He has two children: a son living in Sacramento, California, and a daughter in Iowa City. Current interests include traveling to little-traveled areas of the U.S., skiing (downhill), woodworking, gardening, and ballroom dancing. Also photography and philately will be revived when time allows (after retirement?).
