University Relations photographers are responsible for the photos that appear in many University publications. The unit offers an online collection of photos suitable for use on University web sites. Publication-quality images for use in official UI brochures, newsletters, or multimedia are available for purchase at a nominal cost.

University News Services reports on news for University colleges, departments, programs, and special events except those related to the health campus (see below). The unit generates news releases that are distributed to local, state, and national media outlets. The staff also provides media training, helps University units develop media plans, and monitors local, national, and world news on specific topics. The department connects the University’s top experts with journalists around the globe.
