The calendar listing for fyi is created by the Campus Information Center. It is no longer necessary to send items directly to fyi. ARTS & ENTERTAINMENT
The University of Iowa Opera Theater will present The Daughter of the Regiment, Donizetti's light-hearted comedy about the perils of love for a young woman who is adopted by an entire regiment of French-army "fathers," with performances at 9 p.m. Friday, July 19, and 2 p.m. Sunday, July 21, in Clapp Recital Hall. Soprano Emily Truckenbrod (above) will sing Maria, the title role, on July 19.
