![]() | Robert Linhardt, professor of medicinal and natural products chemistry in the College of Pharmacy, has been named the F. Wendell Miller Distinguished Professor of Pharmacy. This honor recognizes Linhardt's outstanding scholarship and contributions to his field, in addition to his teaching activities. He was a recipient of the 1992 Iowa Regents Award for faculty excellence and the 1994 Horace S. Isbell Award from the American Chemical Society for his contributions to carbohydrate chemistry. He holds a joint appointment in the Department of Chemical and Biochemical Engineering, is the author of more than 150 scientific papers, and holds 14 patents. Linhardt is one of the first five faculty members appointed to the Miller professorships, which were made possible through the Miller Endowment Trust. |
