
Downloading capabilities available at UI LibrariesThe University of Iowa Libraries and the Law Library have announced that the results of library searches can now be downloaded by those who remotely access OASIS, the libraries' online catalog, and those who have access to the software Kermit, which allows file transfer capabilities. Records can be downloaded from any OASIS database, including the online catalog, LCAT, and the periodical indexes and the online catalogs of other universities. Instructions for remote downloading are available online by typing exp mark (explain mark) at the command line in any OASIS database. Printed instructions are available as part of OASIS Guide #4, Remote Access to OASIS/Remote Downloading from OASIS."Copies are available in all of the UI Libraries and the Law Library.
