Appeals will not be accepted over the phone.

NOTE: If your citation says CITY OF IOWA CITY at the top, this is the link for their web site which has an appeal form.  This form is not valid for use in appealing City of Iowa City citations.

From the UI Motor Vehicle and Parking Regulations:

Appeals must be submitted within ten days after the issuance of each citation or the citation will be placed on University billing. Appeals must be made in writing and state succinctly, but fully, the grounds on which the appeal is based. Appeals not made within thirty days of the original billing through accounts receivable will not be allowed without justification. A case may be dismissed, upheld, upheld with sanction suspended, or modified.
