Please join us for our winter and spring initiation ceremonies. Both will take place in the Senate Chamber of the Old Capitol (where Alpha of Iowa was established in 1895).
New members [new members lists] were inducted on April 29,2007 and December 1, 2007. Luke J. Flaherty, PhD, director of the office of Academic Programs and Services, College of Liberal Arts & Sciences, was guest speaker for the December event.
When Exercise Science major Derrick Fenchel was inducted in spring 2006, he became a second-generation member of the Alpha of Iowa chapter of Phi Beta Kappa. His proud father, David, signed the very same chapter book 30 years earlier during his 1976 induction.
