New members [new members lists] were inducted on May 3, 2009. University of Iowa Lecturer Donna Parsons, PhD and musician Ron Hillis were guest presenters.
When Exercise Science major Derrick Fenchel was inducted in spring 2006, he became a second-generation member of the Alpha of Iowa chapter of Phi Beta Kappa. His proud father, David, signed the very same chapter book 30 years earlier during his 1976 induction.
