The Division of Pharmaceutical Service at the University of Iowa College of Pharmacy is the most experienced university-affiliated drug manufacturing facility registered with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. The division has been producing clinical supplies in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices since 1974. The facility is the only one of its kind to offer the range and scope of services needed by commercial clients. Its staff works closely with clients to produce virtually every type of pharmaceutical dosage form. A variety of large and small pharmaceutical firms from around the world use the manufacturing facility to produce supplies of new pharmaceutical agents for use in clinical trials. | |||
