Plastic comb
Comb binding allows a book to lay flat when open. The plastic "combs" come in various
sizes up to a maximum thickness of approximately 350 sheets (700 pages) of 20-lb paper.
Card stock covers for the front and back are recommended.
Shrink wrap
Shrink wrapping holds multiple pages in place for distribution; it is perfect for
3-hole-drilled paper which will be placed in a binder. Shrink wrap is limited to a
maximum thickness of 500 sheets (1000 pages) of 20-lb paper.
Staples
Stapling, using one or two staples, provides a strong and inexpensive binding. Stapling
is limited to a maximum of 100 sheets (200 pages) of 20-lb paper.
Black tape
Black tape or thermal tape binding provides an economic and strong binding for 8.5x11-inch
documents. The maximum thickness is limited to 120 sheets (240 pages) of 20-lb paper.
Card-stock covers for the front and back and a maximum of three colors are recommended.
