Customer service + Into Print + Products and services

The Printing Department provides many opportunities for its customers to learn about printing, desktop publishing, and the department itself.

Consultation and training
The Printing Department's customer service representatives help their customers produce printing orders; the department's computer consultants assist customers with desktop publishing questions and problems; and the departmental information specialist teaches customers how to use the DocuTech publishing system.

Publications
The department produces a variety of printed materials to educate customers about printing and related areas. They include a quarterly newsletter, Into Print (published jointly with other departments in Business Services); flyers about the department's areas and services; instructions for creating and using e-forms; and a printing glossary. Contact the Business Services marketing administrator, 384-3723, to request printed copies of these materials.

Staff Development classes
Our staff conducts a Staff Development class annually through the UI Office of Learning and Development. The next class will be held in fall 2005. Contact the Business Services marketing administrator, 384-3723, for more information about the class.

Tours
The department welcomes visitors who wish to tour the department. Contact the Business Services marketing administrator, 384-3723, to schedule a tour.
