The School of Art and Art History will kick off the new year in a new home designed by architect Steven Holl. Construction is nearly complete on the three-story, 67,000-square-foot building, which partially bridges a small lagoon and showcases an adjacent limestone bluff. Features of the facility, which will open to students in January, include classrooms, studios, a library, gallery space, faculty offices, an auditorium, meeting rooms, a café, and plenty of open space and natural light. Phase 2 of the construction project will be the renovation of the school’s original art building.
