Students had an opportunity to tackle a climbing wall at Hubbard Park in August during Welcome Week festivities. Each year, the University rings in the fall semester with a week of activities designed to welcome to campus new and returning students, faculty, and staff. In addition to the “Kick-Off Classic” event sponsored at Hubbard by Recreational Services, students were greeted with a cookout, movie nights at the Iowa Memorial Union (IMU), a student involvement fair and ice cream social, a job fair, and a free rock concert at the new IMU River Terrace.
