On Nov. 12, the UI Tippie College of Business hosted the CNBC show Mad Money, which aired from the Iowa Memorial Union. The nightly cable show is known for the manic antics of its host, Jim Cramer (foreground, center), as he shouts investment advice, stock market analysis, and his take on the latest financial news. More than 1,000 students, faculty, and staff attended the taping. Cramer selected the Iowa campus to host a broadcast on its “Back to School Tour” after a group of students created and submitted a video to entice the program’s producers. The host, an author and former hedge fund manager, also spoke to several UI classes.
