U.S. President Barack Obama returned to the University of Iowa campus March 25 to deliver a speech at the Field House about the health care legislation recently passed by Congress. More than 3,000 guests greeted him at the free, ticketed event, while protesters and supporters alike gathered outside. “It’s good to be back in Iowa,” he told the crowd. Obama last visited campus in the spring of 2007 as a candidate for president. More photos from Obama’s visit and a video of his speech are available at www.uiowa.edu/obamavisit2010/.
