The Hawkeyes capped the 100th homecoming celebration by bringing home a pig

Homecoming Button 2012Students, alumni, staff, faculty, and fans alike enjoyed celebrating the centennial of University of Iowa Homecoming in September. The annual campus tradition kicked off in 1912, and festivities have grown to include corn monuments, parades, badges, and—of course—football. The 2012 Homecoming, themed “Keeping the Tradition: Centennial Edition,” brought beautiful fall weather to Iowa City—and the Hawkeyes regained custody of Floyd of Rosedale, the bronze pig trophy that goes home with the winner of the Iowa-Minnesota contest.
