For the Kids!
Recently named one of the 10 biggest college fundraisers by thebestcolleges.org, the annual UI Dance Marathon is held in February at the student union. The student-organized event has raised more than $11 million for pediatric oncology and bone marrow transplant patients at UI Children’s Hospital since 1994. In addition to participating in the 24-hour marathon—“the Big Event”—students work throughout the year to raise awareness and provide emotional and financial support to patients and their families.
