Procurement Card & Travel Expense Voucher
Did You Know?
June 2008
Hy-Vee Charge Cards
Hy-Vee recently sent out letters informing you of a change in their direct
billing program. Hy-Vee offered a new charge card for departments
to use for in-store purchases.
The University is not supportive of this program
and has asked Hy-Vee to discontinue the issuance of these charge cards. Instead,
Hy-Vee will be accepting procurement cards as the preferred method of
food purchases.
If you have already been issued a Hy-Vee card, the
account will be closed by Hy-Vee. You should cut up and dispose
of it properly.
Security Alert – Office Supply/Toner
Scams
Be wary of phone calls from anyone who is claiming to be your “regular
supplier” for office supplies. It could be an office supply
scam. The scam artist is generally trying to obtain information so
that they will be able to bill the department for phony orders or misrepresented
orders. The scam artist may actually send merchandise, however the
quantity shipped is less then billed and the price is inflated. If
you believe you are the victim of an office supply scam, contact our department
as soon as possible. For more information about office supply scams,
