1.     Who do I contact about my order or attachments under $3,000?

A: Contact the Req/Po team. top

2.     Who do I contact about my order or attachments over $3,000?

A: Contact the Purchasing Agent through the link on the order. top

3.     When is the Purchase Order Number assigned to the PReq?

A: It is automatically assigned a 10 digit number after final approval. top

4.     When is the Requisition ID assigned?

A: It is automatically assigned a 10 digit number when the PReq is saved or validated. top

5.     Is the Initiator considered an approval?

A: Yes it is. top

6.     How will the users know the PO number?

A: The PO number will be accessible on the Home Page under the Purchase Order Center for the Initiator of the PReq. Other users can go to the Search Center to find the PO number. top

7.     Will Departments receive a hard copy of the PO?

A: No, the users will see the PO Report on-line by clicking the PO number on the Initiator's Home Page or on the Search Center. top

8.     Will Departments be able to print the PO copy?

A.: Departments may print the on-line PO Report if they desire. top

9.     After all approvals are made in workflow, can users edit a requisition?

A: No, a requisition cannot be changed in the PReq system after all approvals are completed in workflow. Contact the Purchasing Agent on the order and they will make changes in the Purchasing and Payables system. top

10. Can Interdepartmental Requisitions be entered on PReqs?

A: Not at this time. top

11. Can Blanket Orders be entered on PReqs?

A: Yes, they must have a minimum balance of $3,001. top

12. Can I still use my PCard and e-vouchers?

A: Yes. Departments are encouraged to use their PCard or e-vouchers rather than Purchase Orders for low dollar transactions that do not involve taggable equipment. Examples of purchases that would best be handled by these other procurement and payment processes include magazine subscriptions, membership dues and fees. See the Procure to Pay Manual if you have questions. top

13. Can I edit my favorites list?

A: Yes, type over the current information and save. top

14. Can I import favorites lists from other users?

A: Not at this time. top

15. When I complete a search for a Vendor, is there a way to automatically add that vendor to my favorites?

A: Not at this time. top

16. How long will it take to get my PReq processed?

A: It can take from 1 to 30 days depending on whether the items requested need to be competitively bid. For additional information on a particular order, contact the Purchasing Agent that handles the commodity being requested. top

17. Where can I find a listing of category codes and responsible Purchasing Agents?

A: It is in the Buyer Category Codes. top

18. Who do I contact to request Purchase Order MFK changes?

A: Email the Purchasing Agent on the order or email MFK changes requests to Purchasing-ReqPO if the order is under $3,000. top

A: Email the Purchasing Agent on the order or email requests to Purchasing-ReqPO if the order is under $3,000. top
